Teaching Assistant (2-year-old provision) Grade 3 £24,404 - £25,183 pro rata Full Time, Term Time only 2 Weeks Permanent Required from 1st September 2025 The Governing Body of Lanchester EP are seeking to appoint a highly motivated practitioner to join our enthusiastic Early Years team in extending our provision to include 2-year-olds. The role will require you to be flexible and be able to support across the whole EYFS setting, according to needs. We are looking for someone who: • Has had experience of working with 2-year olds. • Nurtures, inspires and motivates Foundation Stage pupils and has experience of working in an EYFS team, including 2-year-old provision. • Has good numeracy, literacy and communication skills and a good working knowledge of the revised statutory requirements in early years’ foundation stage. • Holds or is willing to undertake a Paediatric First Aid certificate. • Has the knowledge, understanding and skills to support the EYFS Team and be proactive in the 2-Year-Old Provision. • Is enthusiastic, resourceful and keen to ensure that the highest possible standards of pupil achievement, personal development and well-being are achieved. • Is committed to promoting the school’s Christian values and ethos. • Ensures daily routines are maintained in a stimulating and creative setting and helps to provide rich experiences to enable our children to become effective learners. Calculation of term time only plus two weeks’ pay Term time only plus two additional weeks’ pay is calculated on the basis of the following: • Number of ‘teaching’ weeks – 38 weeks; plus • Public (bank) holidays – 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus • Two additional weeks, inclusive of CPD – 2 weeks; plus • Individual leave entitlement - 5.4 weeks (27 days) or 6.4 weeks (32 days) Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years’ service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years’ service will receive 32 days annual leave.
