Job Description
Finance Business Partner
East Sussex - 3 days on-site. (Parking available).
Salary - £70,000 - £75,000 + bonus
We at Alexander Lloyd are proud to be exclusively partnering with an outstanding PE backed organisation based in rural, East Sussex.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of the most exciting businesses in Sussex. They have delivered consistent year-on-year growth over the last five years, with an impressive EBITDA. Now with ambitious PE backing and a clear focus on international expansion, this is a business where the right person can make a genuine impact.
As the business continues to scale, they need a sharp, commercially minded finance professional to sit alongside the sales and marketing teams and help drive smarter decisions, not just report on them. You'll own forecasting, pricing strategy, rebate management and sales reporting across a significant portion of the group's revenue reshaping how the business sees and acts on commercial data.
Key Responsibillities:
* Becoming a trusted commercial voice across the business building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, challenging decisions constructively and identifying risks and opportunities before they become issues.
* Transforming how the business consumes data stripping back noise and replacing it with insight-led reporting that drives real commercial action.
* Owning the forecasting cycle across key revenue and cost areas, continuously raising the bar on accuracy and forward-looking analysis.
* Playing a central role in annual budgeting, bringing together multiple functions and ensuring plans are ambitious, grounded and deliverable.
* Shaping pricing and rebate strategy to protect and improve margin, ensuring commercial decisions are made with full financial visibility.
* Partnering with technology teams to scrutinise investment decisions, challenging spend and ensuring Opex and Capex are deployed effectively.
* Driving efficiency across the wider finance function by streamlining reporting, empowering stakeholders with self-serve tools and reducing unnecessary analytical burden on the FP&A team.
* Producing sharp, well-crafted monthly commentary that tells the commercial story clearly to senior leadership.
What you'll need:
* A natural relationship builder who earns trust quickly, influences confidently and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo in pursuit of better commercial outcomes.
* Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with solid post-qualification experience in a commercially facing finance role.
* Someone who thinks strategically as well as technically able to spot the commercial priorities that matter and drive them through to delivery.
* Analytically exceptional, with the ability to handle complex data sets and translate them into clear, compelling narratives that non-finance stakeholders can act on.
