Job summary:
As a Building Inspector, you will be a key member of our inspection service team, collaborating with registered builders to ensure homes meet NHBC Standards and Building Regulations, and thrive under your guidance.
What you’ll be doing
Based from home and out in the field daily, you’ll work with registered builders to ensure new homes meet standards and legislation. You will build strong relationships with site managers, helping to identify and prevent construction defects, contributing to our insurance risk management and creating quality homes for buyers.
You will receive full training and ongoing support. You’ll manage your own schedule, with a focus on work/life balance, avoiding weekend work.

* Relevant house-building or construction experience
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Ability to influence and handle disagreements professionally
* Analytical skills for decision making
* Understanding of house building processes and trades
* Physical ability to visit sites, including working at heights
* Interest in industry standards and developments
* Customer-focused attitude
Education and Qualifications
* Construction-related qualification such as City and Guilds, HNC, HND, NVQ (or equivalent)
* Full Driving Licence
