We are recruiting for a Planner to join the team at an established Tier 1 business in Bristol to work on schemes up to GBP80 million.
The contractor is a national Tier 1 business operating across Bristol and the South West on framework schemes and bids up to £80 million, with a focus on projects worth £15‑£30 million across education, care, defence, MOD, leisure and industrial sectors. Turning over is secured through 2029 with additional opportunities in the pipeline.
The role of Planner is to work primarily with the bid and estimating teams to establish best practice and accurate forecasting at the tender stage.
Key responsibilities include:
* Producing scope of works and bills of quantities.
* Assessing and managing subcontractor responses and proposals.
* Analyzing subcontractors' programmes and critical path to develop a master programme for each scheme.
* Participating in client meetings and coordinating with external professional bodies.
* Sense checking the Project and Contract Managers’ look‑ahead programmes to ensure subcontractors and the site team remain on target.
* Working closely with the PM and delivery team to deliver the best results for the company.
