Job Title: Junior School Class Teacher - KS2
The Classroom Teacher will carry out the duties set out in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document. This includes delivering high-quality teaching, upholding the school’s vision and values, and contributing to a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement. The role is accountable to the school leadership and contributes to whole-school priorities.

Set challenging targets based on prior attainment
Track and report pupil progress regularly
Use assessments to inform planning and evaluate effectiveness
Ensure all pupils are supported to reach their full potential
Teaching and Curriculum
Deliver high-quality, well-structured lessons
Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and adapt teaching to meet pupils’ needs
Promote a love of learning and reflective practice
Engage pupils through creative and differentiated approaches
Plan and assess effectively using both formative and summative strategies
Behaviour and Safety
Establish a positive, respectful, and safe learning environment
Set high expectations for behaviour and use consistent strategies to support this
Actively contribute to a calm, supportive school culture
Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met
Professional Development and Conduct
Take ownership of professional development, including responding to feedback
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and use specialist support when appropriate
