Level 2 / Level 3 Teaching Assistant
We are currently recruiting Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary schools across Stockport. These opportunities are ideal for enthusiastic, caring individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on young learners. This role is either for an immediate start after easter or in September 2026.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, contributing to a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment. Roles may include general classroom support, 1:1 assistance, or small group interventions, depending on school needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting learning activities in line with the national curriculum
Assisting pupils with academic, social and emotional development
Providing additional support for children with SEND where required
Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote positive engagement
Preparing resources and supporting lesson delivery
Working collaboratively with teachers and school staff
Requirements:
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Experience working in a UK primary school setting
A nurturing, patient and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
