Your new role
As a Site Agent, you will play a vital leadership role in deliveringplex civil engineering works on a major section of the pipeline near Bury St Edmunds. Working within a high‑performing and multi‑disciplinary team, you will take responsibility for day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest technical standards.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading site teams and subcontractors to ensure effective delivery of planned works
2. Managing programme, quality, environmental and safety requirements
3. Overseeing temporary and permanent works in accordance with project specifications
4. Monitoring progress, resolving onsite challenges and ensuring work remains aligned to project milestones
5. Building strong working relationships with project partners, stakeholders and the client
6. Maintaining accurate site records, reporting andpliance documentation.

What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring:
7. Proven experience as a Site Agent or Senior Engineer on large‑scale civil engineering projects (water, utilities, pipelines or heavy civils ideal)
8. CSCS, SMSTS and first aid accreditations (or willingness to obtain)
9. Excellent working knowledge of CDM regulations, health and safety and quality management systems
10. Experience managing subcontractors, resources and site logistics
11. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct site teams
12. Sound problem‑solving abilities and a proactive mindset
13. Full UK driving licence.
