Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for those in your care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support individuals in maintaining their personal hygiene and grooming routines.
* Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's needs.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition using IT systems.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements
* Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable
* Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members.
* Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
* A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation are beneficial.
* Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to meet client requirements.
