See it for yourself at Elimpark.org Business Title: - CNA Job Purpose: - Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Contribute to a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for residents. Key Responsibilities: - Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting. - Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using appropriate techniques and equipment. - Monitor vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, and report any changes to the nursing staff. - Document resident care accurately and promptly. - Assist with meal service and feeding residents as needed. - Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents. - Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other members of the healthcare team. - Follow infection control protocols and maintain proper hygiene practices. - Participate in resident activities and encourage socialization. - Respond to resident call lights promptly and provide assistance as needed. - Adhere to all facility policies and procedures. - Attend mandatory in-service training and meetings. - Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing staff. Qualifications Required Education: - High school diploma or equivalent - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification Required Experience: - Experience providing direct patient care in a long-term care setting preferred. Required Skills and Abilities: - Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff. - Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. - Ability to lift and move patients. - Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment. - Knowledge of basic nursing principles and procedures. - Ability to document patient information accurately. - Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
