Overview
Priory Hospital Preston is looking to recruit a registered psychologist to join our team in the eating disorder and acute wards. This is a part-time 11.5 to 20 hours per week role. The salary advertised is the full-time equivalent.
Based in Bartle, near Preston, Priory Hospital Preston is a 50-bedded mental health hospital, offering an extensive range of services, delivered across four wards. We can support adult males and females with acute mental health needs and eating disorders, and specialise in the management and treatment of these conditions.
What you0ll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a registered psychologist, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
* The role involves a variety of responsibilities including direct and indirect clinical work.
* Participation in multidisciplinary team (MDT) decision-making is essential.
* The role includes staff training and supervision duties.
What you0ll bring to the role
This role requires a relevant Master0s degree as a minimum qualification, along with a recognized post-graduate qualification and accreditation from a relevant professional institution such as BABCP, BCP, BPS, or an equivalent body. It is important that candidates have prior experience and practical exposure within their chosen field of therapy.
