The scheme forms part of a wider programme focused on providing high-quality, sustainable homes, including a strong proportion of affordable housing, with an emphasis on long-term community creation and excellent build standards. The Role Our client is looking for a Trainee / Assistant Site Manager to support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of a busy residential site. This position would suit someone with around 1–2 years’ experience in residential construction who is keen to progress their career into a full Site Manager role. The position is offered on a temp-to-perm basis, with clear long-term opportunities. Key Responsibilities * Assisting the Site Manager with daily site operations and programme delivery * Supervising subcontractors and trades to ensure quality and productivity * Supporting health, safety and environmental compliance across site * Assisting with inspections, snagging and quality control * Coordinating deliveries, materials and site logistics * Maintaining site records, reports and documentation * Attending site meetings and liaising with contractors and suppliers Candidate Requirements * 1–2 years’ experience working on residential construction sites * Valid SMSTS and First Aid certificates (essential) * CSCS card * Strong understanding of site health & safety procedures * Ambition to progress into an Assistant / Site Manager role * Strong organisational and communication skills * Proactive, reliable and keen to learn What’s on Offer * £215–£220 per day * Temp-to-perm opportunity * Excellent career progression within a supportive site team * Exposure to a major residential development in Welwyn Garden City
