Location: Gloucestershire (with flexibility to work across sites)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £32,500 - £35,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role
In this varied and people-focused role, you’ll be right at the heart of making our organisation a great place to work. Whether it’s giving managers practical HR advice, helping to resolve employee issues, supporting with HR reporting, or shaping new policies, you’ll be involved in it all. No two days will look the same! You’ll work closely with our operational leaders, making sure everything we do is fair, consistent, and in line with employment law - while creating a positive, supportive environment where our care teams can thrive.
What you'll be doing:
·Providing practical HR advice to managers on employee relations, absence, performance, and wellbeing issues.
·Attending and supporting formal meetings like disciplinaries, grievances, and investigations.
·Coaching managers through probation reviews, appraisals, and performance plans.
·Keeping employee records and HR reports up to date (absence, turnover, training, etc.).
·Supporting engagement initiatives like wellbeing programs, staff surveys, and recognition schemes.
·Assisting with policy updates, audits, and preparations for external inspections (like CQC).
·Getting involved in change projects (restructures, TUPE, site changes) and supporting consultation processes.
What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone approachable, proactive, and people-savvy. You’ll need to juggle multiple priorities and feel comfortable advising managers at all levels - especially when it comes to employee relations.
You’ll need:
·CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards).
·At least 1 years’ experience in HR, ideally as an HR Advisor or similar.
·Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
·Experience managing employee relations cases from start to finish.
·Great communication and coaching skills—able to build trust with managers and staff.
·Experience in the care or social care sector (a big plus!).
