Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a qualified and accredited infertility counsellor to provide therapeutic, implications, and support counselling to patients seeking fertility treatment, as well as to donor-conceived individuals and/or donors wishing to register with the Donor Conceived (DCR) register.
The candidate must possess a recognised qualification in counselling, be BACP accredited, and be willing to work towards BICA accreditation. The candidate should demonstrate knowledge and experience working with the emotional and psychological needs of individuals and couples suffering from fertility difficulties, as well as the experiences of donor-conceived people and donors seeking information from the DCR. Applicants will also need to show skills and knowledge to contribute to assessments of the Welfare of the Unborn Child in accordance with the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990.
This is a specialist role requiring the counsellor to work confidently and autonomously, both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

* To provide a sensitive and adaptable service tailored to the needs of individual clients, including donors, couples, and families, before, during, and after treatment, considering stages of investigation and treatment, and other support sources.
