Location: Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr, Hengoed & Ystrad Mynach, Wales.
Contract type: Permanent, full time – 10 sessions per week.
Salary: £104,401 – £115,343 per annum (Yearly).
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver clinical care across front door emergency, inpatient general medicine, geriatric, and movement disorder services, including ward rounds, MDTs, and specialist clinics.
* Provide the Movement Disorder service for the Caerphilly locality (inpatient and outpatient).
* Participate in the 7‑day service expansion and support the front‑door service during day time and on‑call duties.
* Lead teaching and training, including undergraduate teaching, postgraduate training programmes, and act as an Educational Supervisor for junior medical staff.
* Conduct audit, quality improvement projects and facilitate research partnerships with Cardiff University.
* Maintain clinical competence, comply with professional supervision requirements, and adhere to Health Board operating policies and contractual obligations.
* Support patient care on ward 3.2 (geriatric ward) and share responsibility for inpatient care with consultants.
Qualifications & Experience
Medical registration in the UK.
Relevant clinical experience in general medicine, geriatric medicine, and/or movement disorders.
Current training and professional development aligned with service requirements.
