About the Role
Our stores are the life and soul of our business and must set the tone of our brands. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in achieving these standards, leading by example, embracing our entrepreneurial spirit and inspiring the team through passion.
Responsibilities
* Lead the store teams to generate sales, profit, minimize losses, and create the best possible customer experience while ensuring visual standards.
* Identify opportunities to grow the business and improve performance through collaboration.
* Maintain corporate visual merchandising directives and standards for the sales floor and back room.
* Work alongside visual merchandising team to ensure clear communication.
* Partner with store management to build on business opportunities and achieve company objectives.
* Focus staff on building quality relationships with customers and ensuring accountability for repeat business.
* Conduct daily/weekly store walkthroughs; evaluate product performance, pricing, staff service, and inventory levels.
* Communicate to the Store Manager sales drivers and discuss any issues or priorities, developing strategies to maximize business.
* Analyze store level reports and create action plans to improve results.
* Assist with manpower planning, recruitment, interviewing and hiring processes.
* Work with Store Manager to build bench strength for key positions and potential successors.
* Participate in weekly management meetings and staff meetings.
* Communicate store and individual sales goals and key performance expectations to staff.
* Provide a great customer journey and achieve exemplary mystery shop results.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in supervisory or specialist roles within a premium or luxury brand.
* People management experience with ability to resolve conflict and unproductive disagreements.
* Effective communicator with ability to cultivate belonging and collaborate to win.
* Takes courageous approach to give feedback that promotes positive change.
* Fast adaptation and capable of working at pace.
* Energetic and inspires trust with clear presence on the shop floor.
* Approaches issues with a can-do attitude and makes informed decisions.
