Linum Consult’s client is an international specialist in Data Centres. They are looking to expand their business across Europe, and are seeking a Commissioning Manager with a background in major data centre projects to join their team in London.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supporting the Lead Commissioning Manager in the development of a comprehensive strategic commissioning playbook and schedules for commissioning activities, tailored to each project’s unique specifications, timelines, and objectives
2. Troubleshooting complex issues, resolving conflicts, and optimising system performance using your technical expertise and knowledge of commissioning methodologies
3. Driving stakeholders, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and managing the resolution of any issues that may arise during the commissioning process
4. Ensuring that the project and project team are sufficiently allocated the correct level of personnel, equipment, and materials for the commissioning activities
5. Implementing a robust quality assurance process to ensure that all commissioning activities and gateways meet client expectations, contractual obligations, specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
6. Ensuring that the company’s health and safety procedures are routinely followed, and maintaining relevant health and safety records to meet regulatory standards and company policies
PROFILE
7. Degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
8. 5-10 years’ experience in on-site mechanical & electrical commissioning, working on large-scale data centres
9. Excellent collaborative and teamworking skills, with the ability to lead a small team of engineers
10. Strong technical knowledge of commissioning elements for sustainability accreditation (BREEAM, WELL, LEED, NABORS)
11. IT literate, with a demonstrable history of working with MS Office software and PowerBI
12. Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
