SEND Class Teacher in the schools IIS (Inclusive Intervention Space) St Mary Magdalen's Catholic Primary and Nursery School Hours: Part-time (5 mornings)- Fixed Term (dependent on funding) Salary Band: Teacher's Main Scale £32,916 - £45,352 pro rata St. Mary Magdalen's is a lively, vibrant and successful Catholic Primary and Nursery School in the heart of Brighton, seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and talented part-time SEND teacher from September 2026. The successful candidate will be an experienced and effective classroom practitioner able to teach across the 5-11 age range, demonstrate secure knowledge of the National Curriculum, and use specialist expertise in adaptive teaching, assessment and intervention to deliver high-quality, inclusive education that enables all pupils-particularly those with SEND-to achieve their full potential, while upholding the school's Catholic ethos and contributing to a culture of high expectations, inclusion and care. Paid weeks per year : 52 (inclusive of holiday entitlement) Fixed term: One academic year Start date : September 2026 About the Role We are looking for someone who: Is sympathetic and supportive of the Catholic ethos (even if not Catholic). Has a strong commitment to safeguarding, child protection, and promoting the welfare of pupils. Demonstrates excellent, effective professional practice with strong behaviour management skills and high expectations for all children. Is committed to raising standards and contributing to whole-school improvement. Can inspire learning through a creative, enriched, and adaptive curriculum within an outstanding environment. Builds excellent relationships with pupils, parents/carers, colleagues, and external agencies. Has energy, enthusiasm, and a flexible, creative approach to teaching and provision. Works collaboratively with the SENDCo, class teachers, and teaching assistants to plan and deliver learning within the Inclusion Intervention Space.
