We are seeking an experienced Logistics Analyst to support our global team in a full-time capacity. This role offers an opportunity to leverage and expand your expertise in international logistics, incoterms, and problem-solving to serve our business and customer needs. Candidates should have a strong systems aptitude and working knowledge of global transportation carriers and services.
What You’ll Do
1. Analyze freight contracts (ocean, air, domestic, international) and shipping routes to assist in negotiations. Implement freight payment services across international locations.
2. Request freight quotes from approved carriers; prepare and evaluate rates/proposals competitively.
3. Maintain contract rates and tariffs, including surcharges.
4. Prepare and update rate summaries in Excel.
5. Review and evaluate freight invoices for accuracy.
6. Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure timely and cost-efficient inbound and outbound shipments.
7. Provide support to Compliance, Supply Chain, Global Operations, and Finance on tracking, expedited shipments, freight cost analysis, and invoice approvals.
8. Monitor logistics volume and spending, identify cost-saving opportunities.
9. Ensure accurate General Ledger coding of freight invoices.
10. Collaborate with freight forwarders and carriers on performance issues, resolutions, and damage claims.
What You Will Bring
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
* Proven experience in International Logistics.
* Experience with cold chain logistics and biological sample shipments.
* Knowledge of Hazmat Dangerous Goods shipping requirements.
* Understanding of biological sample permitting (preferred).
* Experience with Oracle Cloud and Freight Payment Centers.
* Knowledge of transport tariffs.
* Strong systems aptitude and familiarity with global transportation carriers and services.
* Solid understanding of incoterms.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and process improvements.
