Overview

We are looking for someone with experience, who is happy to work part-time, and who has strong attention to detail. In essence, this role will be responsible for setting up, tracking, and in many respects auditing the financial side of the business.

You should be confident with Excel and not just at a basic level. The role requires the ability to build and maintain reconciliation sheets, ledgers, and financial modelling. You will also be responsible for managing loan schedules and ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.

This is a hands-on position where prior experience is essential. The right individual will be comfortable handling multiple moving parts, spotting discrepancies, and keeping financial data organised.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set up and maintain reconciliation sheets and ledgers in Excel.
* Track, manage, and report on business loans.
* Audit financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
* Provide regular updates and reports to management.
* Ensure financial systems are clear, consistent, and well-documented.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in a similar finance or bookkeeping role.
* Strong Excel skills (beyond basic functions - able to create reconciliation and tracking sheets).
* Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial records.
* Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
* Strong organisational skills with a proactive approach.

This is a part-time position, ideal for someone with solid experience who enjoys working with detail and structure.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £22,420.00-£30,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

* Southall UB1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

* For this role, we prefer to use Excel as our main bookkeeping tool. While we are not against other software, Excel will need to be used consistently, so you must be comfortable with it. In any of your previous roles, have you used Excel as the primary tool for bookkeeping, and are you confident working with it on a daily basis?

Experience:

* Bookkeeping: 3 years (preferred)

Language:

* Hindi or Gujurati (preferred)

Work authorisation:

* United Kingdom (preferred)
