Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our patient-focused optical practice. You will deliver high-quality eye care, including routine eye examinations, contact lens assessments, and extended service assessments. Working alongside a Dispensing Optician Manager, you will support colleagues, contribute to maintaining departmental standards, and help develop new patient services.
The role offers access to a full CPD programme, protected time for further accredited training, and the opportunity to supervise students, enhancing your own skills while supporting the next generation of optical professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and extended service assessments
Deliver personalised care and advice to patients
Maintain high clinical standards and patient service excellence
Support the introduction and development of new patient services
Keep accurate, compliant patient records
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure an exceptional patient experience
Team Development:
Support and coach colleagues where needed
Contribute to ongoing training and development initiatives
Help foster a positive and professional team culture
Encourage innovation and continuous improvement in service delivery
About You:
Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
MECs or WECs accredited, or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months (funded and supported)
On track to meet statutory CPD requirements
Passionate about delivering excellent patient care
Eager to contribute to the growth and development of patient services
