Overview
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded accountancy practice in Swindon for a Client Manager to join their busy general practice team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients, oversee accounting and tax services, and mentor junior colleagues while contributing to the growth and success of the firm.

The Role
As a Client Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Managing a varied portfolio of clients, including limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
* Reviewing and finalising year-end accounts, tax returns, and management accounts prepared by the team
* Acting as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong and trusted relationships
* Overseeing and mentoring junior staff, supporting their training and professional development
* Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, legislation, and firm policies
* Assisting with workflow planning to ensure deadlines and budgets are met
* Identifying opportunities to provide additional services and supporting business development initiatives
* Liaising with partners and directors to ensure high-quality client service delivery
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will:
* Be ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with strong experience in general practice
* Have a proven track record of managing client relationships in a practice environment
* Demonstrate strong technical knowledge in both accounts and tax
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to advise clients directly
* Show leadership qualities, with experience supervising or mentoring team members
* Be highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
* Be commercially aware, proactive, and eager to contribute to the firm’s growth
