Process Safety Specialist West Thurrock (Site-Based) £65,000 - £75,000 Pin Point Recruitment is seeking an experienced Process Safety Specialist to join a leading upper-tier COMAH chemical manufacturing operation. This is a senior-level role focused on ensuring regulatory compliance, preventing major accidents, and driving continuous improvement in process safety performance across high-hazard manufacturing sites. You will act as the technical authority for process safety, supporting engineering, operations, SHE, and regulatory teams to ensure plant integrity and risk control standards meet industry best practice. Key Responsibilities * Ensure compliance with COMAH regulations and maintain robust process safety management systems * Lead and facilitate HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA studies, including 5-year revalidation programmes * Support the development and review of COMAH Safety Reports * Provide specialist advice on: * Pressure relief systems * Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) * ATEX/DSEAR compliance * Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) * Ensure all identified risks are reduced to ALARP principles * Develop and manage the Management of Change (MOC) process * Identify and close gaps in process safety documentation and systems * Support the production and monitoring of Process Safety Performance Indicators (PSPIs) * Assist with investigations fol...
