Shaw healthcare is looking for a Senior Support Worker to join the team at Victoria House in Rushden. You will join a team that is committed to making a difference in the lives of those we care for, delivering the highest standard of care that you would want for your own family. Responsibilities
* Build strong relationships with service users, their families and health care professionals; ensure that relatives feel welcome and informed.
* Keep the Line Manager up to date with residents’ needs and progress.
* Follow guidelines and policies; write up care plans with good written communication skills.
* Utilise care technology to spend more time with service users while maintaining high standards of care.
* Provide support in line with the role of a Senior Support Worker in a residential care setting for older people; act as a team player.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Previous experience working with older people in residential care.
* Flexible, patient, caring, organised and good with people.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Currently completing or working towards QCF 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Additional Information
* Full training provided, including a leadership programme to support development and progression within Shaw.
* Shift times: Bank 0hr contract. As/when required.
Salary: £13.82 per hour
