CAD Programmer Wanted - Immediate Start!
Location: Leicester
Salary: £35,000+ per annum
Shifts: Full-time | 40 hours per week Mon-Fri
Are you an experienced CAD Programmer? Regional Recruitment Services are recruiting on behalf of an industry-leading manufacturer for a CAD Programmer to join their Design & Manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a growing sheet metal and laser cutting business. This role offers long term career development and the opportunity to work on projects from concept through to production within a professional engineering environment.
Responsibilities
* Producing 2D CAD drawings and flat patterns using SolidWorks
* Programming CNC laser cutting machines within agreed production timescales
* Nesting drawings to maximise material usage and production efficiency
* Creating and maintaining accurate CAD/CAM programs for manufacturing
* Supporting the fabrication team with folding, forming and assembly instructions
* Reviewing and improving existing programs to increase efficiency and reduce waste
* Working closely with production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing processes
Requirements
* Experience working as a CAD Programmer, CAD/CAM Programmer or similar
* Strong experience with 2D CAD and SolidWorks
* Background in laser cutting, sheet metal or fabrication
* Experience with CAD/CAM programming and nesting software
* Familiarity with Trumpf lasers is highly desirable
* Experience with Lantek, Oseon or TruTops software would be beneficial
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
