Solutions Director - HospitalityLondon hybrid - 3 days onsiteJoin us at Merlin Entertainments as we transform the future of digital guest experiences across our iconic global attractions.We’re seeking a talented Solutions Director to play a pivotal role in ensuring innovative, scalable and secure technologies are delivered to support the transformation of the businesses hospitality platforms.This role demands proven hospitality industry expertise in designing and implementing complex enterprise solutions across various domains, whilst being able to direct the strategic direction of Hospitality Solutions.Solutions Director Key Responsibilities:Architecture Design: Develop scalable, secure architectures to modernise global enterprise systems.Technical Strategy: Dramatically reshape the financial ecosystem through outlining and integrating the correct technologies/systems to support the business.Internal Standardisation: Ensure there are standard processes/systems across the business are defined and successfully implementedPerformance and Security Optimisation: Enhance system scalability, reliability, and performance across the ecosystem.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior technology leadership, product management, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to align solutions with business needs.Team Leadership: Set clear goals, prioritise tasks, evaluate progress and advise properly to help achieve desired outcomes.Desired Experience:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fieldProven experience delivering technology projects both in-house and outsourced at a global levelDeep knowledge of retail/hospitality and experience working in a multi-location international organisationDemonstrable extensive experience in software engineering, with a focus on Guest facing platforms or digital marketing solutionsProven experience leading large-scale Hospitality & retail platform architectures (e.g., Opera, Simphony, Stock Mgt Platforms)Strong understanding of a Modular & microservices architecture, APIs, and modern commerce technologiesHands-on experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)Experience in managing relationships with third-party vendors, partners, and integrators, including contract negotiations and performance management.Experience leading cross-functional teams in high-demand environments, demonstrating the ability to collaborate with product, marketing, operations and customer experience departments.Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR) relevant to commerce systems and transactional platforms.Interview Process:Recruiter CallHiring Manager Intro1-2 stage Panel InterviewOur recruitment process typically takes around 4-5 weeks, but we’re always happy to work around your availability.
