The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.

Hourly rate of pay: £12.96 - £13.78
This is a 39-week sessional post i.e. working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days.

Working pattern is negotiable, however preferred working days include a Monday and a Friday.

Knox Academy is a comprehensive school situated in Haddington in East Lothian. At census 2024 the roll was 925. An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Support Assistant (SBSA) to support with the administrative function at Knox Academy. Training in the use of council systems is available, but some experience/confidence using Microsoft Office would be an advantage.

Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications
Educated to ‘Higher’ level, NC or SVQ level 2 in English and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.

This post is considered as a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.
