Job Description
As a Graduate in Mott MacDonald’s Geotechnics Practice you will work alongside experienced geotechnical engineers and geological specialists. You’ll gain exposure through online webinars, workshops, and our Graduate Accelerator Programme while contributing to real‑world projects.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare desk studies.
* Plan, supervise and report on ground investigations to Eurocode 7 requirements.
* Visualise and develop digital ground data using Leapfrog, Openground and other modelling platforms.
* Contribute to ground model interpretation and derive parameters for design and risk management.
* Perform soil and rock mechanics analyses for foundations, substructures, slopes, earthworks, reinforced‑earth structures and retaining structures.
* Classify rock masses using rock‑mass rating systems.
* Prepare technical reports, risk assessments and specifications.
* Engage collaboratively with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions.
Locations available: Brighton, Cambridge, Cardiff, Croydon, Glasgow, Leeds.
Candidate Specification
* Less than 12 months of relevant work experience.
* Degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or Civil Engineering (bachelor’s minimum; a master’s may be required for certain roles).
* Demonstrated genuine interest in Ground Engineering and the company’s projects.
