About the Role
As a Senior Practitioner, you will provide practice leadership, professional support, and supervision to Social Workers and social care staff within our mental health teams. Youll play a key role in promoting safeguarding, driving evidence-based practice, and ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities. This is a varied and challenging role that combines leadership responsibilities with a small caseload of complex work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide professional leadership and supervision to Social Workers and Customer Coordinators.
2. Chair multi-agency meetings and deputise for the Team Manager when required.
3. Manage a small caseload of complex cases, ensuring person-centred practice and compliance with legislation.
4. Promote safeguarding and act as Investigating Manager or Officer as needed.
5. Contribute to policy development and lead implementation of new legislation and guidance.
6. Monitor team performance and budget spend, ensuring best value and high-quality outcomes.
7. Work collaboratively with health partners, voluntary organisations, and other stakeholders to improve service delivery.
