Full-Time Female Support Worker – Westoning
A career that's meaningful, joyful and rooted in the values of MacIntyre
Are you a warm, creative and confident woman who wants to make a real difference?
At MacIntyre, we believe in supporting people to live a life that makes sense to them. No experience in social care? That's absolutely fine. If you bring kindness, curiosity and a sense of fun, we'll provide the rest.
About the Role
We're offering:
Full-time hours up to 37.5 per week
A rota that includes weekends, Bank Holidays and sleep-ins
You'll be supporting seven women with learning disabilities to live independently in their shared home — building real relationships and helping each person shape a life that feels right for them.
Meet Eleanor*
Eleanor lives in her own home in Westoning with six other women. She doesn't use words to communicate — but she'll definitely let you know what she wants, what she likes and when something makes her laugh.
Eleanor is full of personality. She's looking for a female support worker who will really get to know her — someone who will notice the small things, celebrate the everyday and bring energy into her world.
When she's at home, Eleanor loves:
A relaxed, happy atmosphere
Singing along (you'll quickly learn her favourite songs!)
Turning everyday routines into moments of fun
It's not about rushing through tasks — it's about sharing life together.
Getting Out and About
Eleanor enjoys being part of her community. She regularly visits MacIntyre Learning Centre Ampthill where there's always something happening and friends to see.
On sunny days, you might head to the park for fresh air and a picnic. Having a manual driving licence is essential — not to rush between appointments, but to unlock opportunities and choice.
Time to Relax
Life isn't all go-go-go. Eleanor loves:
Listening to 60s music
Watching her favourite TV programmes
Chilling out after a busy day
She'd love someone who brings new ideas too — maybe there's a hobby or interest you could share?
If you're someone who sees the person, not the label…
If you believe laughter matters…
If you want a career that's both rewarding and adventurous…
Could you support Eleanor and her friends to live a life that makes sense to them? ???????
