A welcoming primary school in West Kirby is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work Wednesday to Friday on a long-term basis.
This is a varied and rewarding role supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and Year 6, ideal for someone adaptable and confident working across different age groups.
The Role:
1. Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and Year 6
2. Working 1:1 and with small groups
3. Assisting with classroom activities and daily routines
4. Supporting pupils with additional needs where required
5. Helping to maintain a positive and structured learning environment

6. Previous experience working in a primary school setting
7. Confidence supporting across multiple key stages
8. A flexible and proactive approach
9. Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.

We’ll also consider experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
28. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
29. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
30. Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
31. Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
32. Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
