Social Media Content Specialist - 12 month FTC
Location: Wythall – 3 days office/2 days home
We are working with a retail-based client with multiple branches across the UK. They are seeking to add a Social Media Content Specialist to their digital team on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
Due to the office location, candidates must have their own transport and be willing to travel to branches occasionally.
The role involves developing the social media presence across platforms like Meta, YouTube, and TikTok to engage new customers and bring the brand to life through authentic content.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the social media content plan, creating a structured and proactive strategy for the year.
2. Collaborate with the social media agency to develop content requirements for organic and paid campaigns.
3. Create engaging content that highlights the brand and its people, including product and promotional content.
4. Plan and develop video content, especially for YouTube, such as “how-to” videos and “a day in the life” series.
Experience and Skills:
* Previous experience in a social media content role.
* Understanding of organic and paid social media strategies.
* Experience with YouTube as a social channel is advantageous.
* Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Photoshop; videography experience is not required.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* High attention to detail.
* Experience in eCommerce or retail (bricks and mortar) preferred.
* Interest or experience in construction, interiors, or trade retail is a plus.
