Reports To: Production Manager
Duties
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Ensures that all Panel Production Personnel comply with all EXHEAT Health, Safety, Fire & Environment policy's at all times.
* Ensures that all Production Personnel comply with all Risk, COSHH and Manual Handling Assessments at all times.
* Ensuring all Panel Bay personnel are manufacturing and assembling equipment in accordance with the EXHEAT Quality System and Quality Policy and in accordance with all EXHEAT approval standards.
* Ensure all tools used in Panel production are fit for purpose and where appropriate calibrated and tested for electrical safety in accordance with EXHEAT Health and Safety arrangements.
* Ensures compliance with company 5S/Lean procedures at all times during the manufacturing and assembly process.
* Assume the role of Control Panel Supervisor during prolonged periods of absence of the current incumbents.
* Support and assist the Control Panel Supervisors in ensuring the standards of work and discipline are maintained in the Panel Bay.
Testing responsibilities:
* Function testing/fault finding, load testing, load control testing, wave form testing, harmonics testing and current injection testing (including generator and load bank setup) of bespoke control systems designed to meet clients specifications
* Software programming
* Processing of inspection and test data
* Working on LV circuitry, PLC communications, testing and protection relays.
* Dealing with clients and inspectors and demonstrating/simulating operational conditions of the equipment
* Carry out punch list inspections and assist in rectification work when required
* Marking up of drawings and test reports and ensuring that controlled procedures are adhered to.
* Maintenance of test equipment and load test facility
* Liaise with Panel Bay supervisor
* Assist in resolving build issues
* To work in accordance with the Quality and Health & Safety Management systems meeting the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001
* Observe Health & Safety requirements when working.
Knowledge, skills and experience
* Knowledge of electrical/mechanical assembly tooling.
* Knowledge of electrical testing equipment and tools.
* Knowledge panel manufacturing principles.
* Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems.
* Knowledge of Electronic systems.
* Knowledge of Testing principles and how to work safely.
* Knowledge of PLC & control systems.
* Must be a competent in panel manufacturing / production or a similar discipline.
* Must have accomplished people management skills and be able to lead motivate individuals and.
* Computer literate
* Experienced with MS Office products
* Familiar with AX / MRP systems
* Ability to understand engineering drawings both electrical and mechanical.
* 3 years minimum experience working in an engineering / manufacturing environment
* Desired minimum Level 3 Qualification in a mechanical/ electrical/ manufacturing discipline.
