Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with strong purchase ledger experience to join our finance team at the Chorley site. As Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately processing supplier invoices, maintaining up-to-date ledger records, and supporting the smooth running of our accounts payable function.Location: Chorley North Business Park, Drumhead Road, Chorley, PR6 7DEHours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per weekSalary: £27,000.00Offer is subject to a satisfactory drugs and alcohol testMain ResponsibilitiesAccurately receive, verify, and process incoming invoices from suppliers of two main ledgers.Account reconciliation Ensure supplier statements reconcile against supplier ledger and resolve queries swiftlyHandle purchase inquiries and disputes with suppliersLiaising with head office re payments of accountsResponsible for petty cash and monthly reconciliation/replenishmentGeneral administrative support as requiredProvide cover for managing overheads within the purchase ledgerAssist with credit control duties when neededProvide cover for cash and cheque banking, as well as BACS payment allocationSkills and ExperienceHigh attention to detailStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenStrong numerical and analytical skillsPrevious experience within purchase ledgerMethodical and organised, with the ability to work to deadlinesSelf-motivated and able to use initiativeFlexible attitude and the ability to work successfully in a close team environmentGood IT and Excel skillsBenefits Free on-site parkingPension Auto enrolmentEmployee assist programmeAbout us The Dalziel group serves the meat processing and retail butchery industry from strategically located distribution sites throughout the United Kingdom.
