Overview
As a Housekeeper at St Monica Trust, you will support our residents by delivering a full cleaning and meals service where required, helping to create a welcoming and safe environment for residents and staff. You will build positive relationships with residents, visitors and colleagues, act with professionalism and care, and work to maintain a clean, respectful living environment. The role includes supporting other teams as needed, reporting concerns about resident well-being, and complying with Health & Safety regulations.

Responsibilities
* Deliver a full cleaning and meals (where required) service, helping to create a welcoming and safe environment for our residents and staff.
* Build positive relationships with residents, visitors, and colleagues, acting with professionalism and care.
* Support other teams as needed, such as reporting any concerns about resident well-being.
* Respect the homes and personal spaces of our residents, treating everyone with dignity.
* Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and equipment for your area.
* Comply with Health & Safety regulations and report any hazards promptly.
* As Housekeeper, support our residents by cleaning residents' rooms, communal areas, dining areas and assisting with food where required.
* Communicate effectively, including writing notes and messages, and adapting communication for differing needs.
Communication and Skills
* Write notes and messages - numeracy, literacy and verbal skills.
* Communicate with people with differing communication needs.

* Understand and follow instructions and procedures.
* Strong customer service skills and ability to use mixed methods and mediums of communication.
Experience and Qualifications
* Experience of general cleaning and knowledge of cleaning techniques.
* Knowledge of basic health and safety.
* Passion for excellent service delivery.
* Desirable: experience of catering work; food hygiene practices; basic hygiene practices (including food); worked within a care or dementia care setting.
* Whilst experience of working with older people and/or people living with dementia is desirable, it is not essential. If you wish to proceed, full training will be provided.
