The Nottingham CityCare Urgent Treatment Centre is a clinician-led service that provides assessment and treatment to people with urgent but not life-threatening health problems. This post is suitable for an enthusiastic, driven, motivated and flexible Registered Health Care Professional with demonstrable experience from working as an independent prescriber (V300) in an unplanned/urgent care environment. Applications are welcome from Emergency Care/Nurse Practitioners with V300 prescribing who are keen to gain additional experience with patients presenting with illnesses while working in an environment that also cares for patients presenting with minor injuries. The Urgent Treatment Centre is a training environment where employed practitioners will support the development of all disciplines of health care professionals. The service is located at Seaton House which has recently undergone modernisation and has X-ray facilities on site.
Informal visits to the UTC are welcome.
Responsibilities
* Work within a compassionate and professional team of clinical experts.
* Provide face-to-face assessment and care to patients presenting with undifferentiated conditions.
* Deliver secure, efficient, and patient-centred care.
* Guide patients across primary, secondary, and tertiary care.
* Conduct clinical evaluations and offer support and guidance to fellow clinicians.
* Participate in reflective supervision led by supportive Clinical Leads.
Typical Day / Working Hours
There is a requirement for flexible 365 day working with shift patterns covering 06:45am to 10pm daily. Full-time and part-time hours will be considered.
What You'll Need
* Registered healthcare professional (e.g., Nurse, Paramedic, Clinical Pharmacist, Physiotherapist) with part 1 of current NMC register
* Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber (V300)
* Recognised teaching/mentorship qualification or willingness to work towards
* Right to work in the UK

Experience & Qualifications
Essential
* Describe experience providing first contact care for patients with undifferentiated illness and injury (Primary or Emergency Care)
* Registered healthcare professional (e.g., Nurse, Part 1 of NMC register, Paramedic, ECP, Clinical Pharmacist, Physiotherapist)
* Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber (V300)
* Flexible hours to meet service needs
* UK Registration: current UK professional registration
Desirable Skills
* Experience leading a team or individuals
* Clinical skills: suturing, fracture management, requesting X-Rays, ECG, advanced physical examination
