The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEND or SEMH needs.
* Teach across KS3 and KS4, ensuring pupils receive high‑quality, personalised learning experiences.
* Adapt and develop lesson plans to meet individual learning profiles.
* Use both classroom and outdoor learning spaces to enhance engagement.
* Work closely with support staff, families, and colleagues to maintain a nurturing and consistent educational environment.
* Contribute to a culture of high expectations and positive relationships.
Specialisms in Art or Maths are also welcomed due to cross‑curricular opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Teachers (QTS) or Unqualified Teachers with relevant school‑based experience.
* Experienced in working with learners with SEND or SEMH needs.
* Confident in delivering or supporting KS3/KS4 English curriculum content.
* Creative, adaptable, and committed to inclusive, child‑centred teaching.
* Able to build positive and supportive relationships with young people.
* Able to commute to Canterbury or nearby areas.
