A fantastic opportunity has become available at Hippo Motor Group as we are currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Manager to be responsible for our used car sales division based in our Blackburn showroom. We are looking for someone who is dynamic and innovative to motivate and drive the team of Sales Executives to achieve their targets.

Not only will the successful candidate have access to over 1000 cars, there is a fantastic support system in place with a state of the art preparation centre, and dedicated pay-out, underwriting and handover teams. There is also a specialist buying team with the opportunity to buy your own cars, all of this making the role ideal for any experienced sales manager.

Key Responsibilities

* Setting clear and consistent goals and monitoring team/individual performance.
* Conducting weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews for each team member
* Provide team direction and motivation that engages your team and helps them understand their purpose within the business.
* Identify knowledge gaps and provide on-the-job training where necessary.
* Manage/monitor our CRM system and enquiries to ensure the workflow is managed effectively to maximize each opportunity
* Support individuals in deal making and closing deals.
* Maintain communication with your team to ensure leads are correctly managed.
* To also ensure Team Members are following all Company rules and processes, adhering to all compliances, and managing the Staff to operate within the FCA guidelines.

Skills & Expertise

* Previous management experience in a similar role is essential
* The ability to motivate a team
* Excellent levels of communication both face to face and over the phone
* A Self-starter with the ability to organise and manage own workload
* Good administration skills- in relationship to progressing deals and support customers
* Ability to effectively develop a sales pipeline
* Resilient and enthusiastic
* Professional and well presented
* Computer literate and able to learn new computer systems with training
* Lunch on Hippo when passing probation.
