We’re looking for a talented Non-Food Buyer to take ownership of sourcing all centralised non-food products and services – from crockery and glassware to laundry, cleaning, and gardening services. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by negotiating great deals, building strong supplier relationships, and ensuring our pubs and hotels receive exceptional service.
What you’ll do:
* Source non-food products and services that meet business needs, balancing cost, quality, logistics, sustainability, and catalogue size.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable, high-performing supply base.
* Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and other teams to understand requirements and resolve issues quickly.
* Negotiate contracts and pricing, conduct benchmarking, and optimise profitability without compromising quality.
* Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement toward service excellence and sustainability goals.
* Manage pricing to control inflation, forecast risks and opportunities, and support budget planning.
* Lead tender processes and deliver an 18-month rolling tender plan.
* Maintain accurate records of pricing, rebates, contracts, and supplier/product information.
What we’re looking for:
* Previous experience as a buyer or in a similar procurement role within a multi-site business.
* Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
* Excellent communication and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Proactive, resourceful, and analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* CIPS qualification is advantageous; hospitality experience is a bonus.
