We're now looking for a Driver Shunter to play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.
✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
* Work to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
* Operate all equipment ( for which a license is held and authorisation has been given ) correctly and safely at all times
* Complete thorough daily vehicle checks and report any defects
* Report all personnel or equipment related accidents immediately to the Transport Office.
* Ensure all administration documentation (POD's) are completed accurately to the required standards
* Maintain regular contact with Transport team
* Count and check all products, compare to manifest and complete a visual check for damage
* Adhere to Safe Systems of work (SSW) and defined quality standards at all times.
* Ensure that all company health & safety policies and standards of vehicle operation and cleanliness are adhered to at all times.
* Report any excesses, shortages or damage to supervisor in a timely manner
* Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
* Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
