About Financial Services
Financial Services provides a comprehensive range of financial accounting, business partnering, working capital, and client financial management services.
Responsibilities
1. Work as part of a team at the front desk of Financial Services, handling communications from internal and external customers.
2. Attend monthly team meetings, contribute to agendas with updates or changes in your areas of responsibility.
3. Contribute ideas to develop training programs to address training needs and knowledge gaps.
Additional Tasks
Provide professional financial support and advice, particularly in Bank Reconciliation and VAT functions, including:
* Identifying and posting cashbook items for reconciliation.
* Submitting Bank Statements into the General Ledger.
* Preparing monthly reports on Bank Reconciliation positions.
* Performing VAT compliance checks, invoice validation, and processing journals for VAT adjustments.
Assist with the annual closure of accounts and respond to FOI requests accurately and promptly.
Knowledge and Skills
* Preferably AAT membership or working towards it.
* Understanding of financial management principles, accounting standards, and procedures.
* Knowledge of financial regulations and control frameworks.
* Effective communication skills with officers, auditors, and external partners.
* Proficiency in ICT, including finance systems like Agresso and Excel.
