An excellent opportunity has now arisen in our established multi-office accountancy firm for a full-time permanent Accountant in our Shrewsbury office.
We work alongside many different types of businesses and individuals and all of their associated work including VAT, payroll, accounts, self assessments etc.
Our practice is focused on delivering exceptional services to our clients. Our goal is to foster strong relationships with all clients, providing expert advice and guidance. A big part of achieving this has been establishing processes within our business, along with access to excellent ongoing training and technical support in all aspects of the role. We focus on utilising technology and enjoy using cutting edge apps and cloud-based software to better service our clients.
Responsibilities
* Completion of sole trader accounts & self assessment tax returns
* Completion of quarterly VAT returns
* Completion of limited company accounts & CT600 returns
* Reviewing some junior staff work
* Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients
* Communicating with clients promptly and efficiently
Skills
* Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Dext, TaxCalc, and other financial management systems.
* Strong understanding of financial services industry standards and practices.
* Proven expertise in financial accounting, reporting, and compliance procedures.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Demonstrated mentoring abilities to support team development.
* Analytical mindset with attention to detail in financial data analysis.
* Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
