What the dealership is looking for in a Vehicle Technician:
1. Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with a minimum of 2 years’ practical repair and maintenance experience.
2. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent, or significant industry experience.
3. Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
4. Ability to complete first-time repairs to high standards.
5. Proficiency in using modern garage IT and diagnostic equipment.
6. A proactive, team-oriented approach coupled with excellent communication skills.
7. Local candidates or those willing to commute to Crawley are preferred.
Nice to Have Skills:
8. Experience working with specific dealership brands or advanced diagnostic systems.
9. Additional certifications related to vehicle systems or electrical diagnostics.
Preferred Education and Experience:
10. City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualification or an equivalent recognised credential.
11. At least two years of hands-on experience in a dealership or busy workshop environment.
Other Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
12. Valid driving licence.
13. Flexibility to work Monday to Friday (8:30am – 5pm) with Saturday mornings on a rota.
14. Ability to handle warranty and recall procedures with professionalism.
