We’re expanding our hive across Mid Devon’s rural communities and we’re looking for kind, reliable carers who are confident driving to remote locations via country lanes, in all weather and at all times of day.
A role that balances routine and flexibility.
Responsibilities
* Provide warmth, dignity, and comfort during each visit
* Personal care that respects privacy and promotes independence
* Prepare meals and support hydration
* Medication prompts or administration
* Light household tasks (laundry, tidying, fresh bedding)
* Safe mobility and movement assistance
* Friendly conversation, reassurance, and companionship
* Quick, simple care recording via our mobile app
What You'll Do
Each visit is unique, but your role will focus on delivering compassionate, client-centered care. You’ll be the friendly face your clients trust, especially in rural areas where your visit may be the only one they receive that day.
Requirements
* A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* Confidence driving in rural areas, including country lanes and remote locations
* The right to work in the UK (we are not able to offer sponsorship)
* A genuine, caring nature and a commitment to quality care
* Basic confidence using a smartphone—we'll guide you if needed
Role Details
* Salary: £26,000 annual salary (pro rata for part-time)
* Travel allowance: 45p per mile
* Holiday: 28 days paid holiday (including bank holidays)
