All this is wrapped up with an easy-to-view online data management analysis and reporting software.\n\nPURPOSE OF THE JOB:\n\nAs a Regional Health and Safety Advisor, you’ll be the driving force behind our commitment to a safe and compliant workplace.
You’ll provide both operational and strategic support where Health and Safety expertise is needed, ensuring our managers and employees are well-informed and equipped to uphold the highest safety standards across the business. Your role is pivotal in fostering a culture of safety and compliance, making a real impact on the well-being of our team and the success of our operations. This exciting opportunity offers time out on the road, working directly with stakeholders and tackling critical projects.\n\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:\n\nCo-ordinate and support managers in the investigation of accidents and incidents using the preferred business tool.\n\nReport all safety related incidents and assist in root cause analysis against preferred methodology, in an accurate and timely manner, to internal and external customers.\n\nCompile statistics and infer trends from available safety data, using critical thinking.\n\nProvide guidance and advice at all levels of the business from top management, line management and employees.\n\nSupport managers to implement policies and procedures with regards to health and safety.\n\nAssist in the design and implementation of appropriate strategies for ensuring H&S regulations are followed and improved.\n\nReview and develop H&S policy and frameworks for existing and new processes\n\nAssis in formulating improvement plans for H&S including setting short and long-term objectives, priorities and performance standards.
Monitor to completion\n\nAudit and review H&S management standards, systems and processes, where necessary.\n\nMonitor the changing business risk profile and feedback / highlight ‘creeping concerns or emerging risks where necessary\n\nEnsure best practice is achieved in conjunction with legal compliance.\n\nAdvise and assist in promoting a positive H&S Culture.\n\nEnsure proactive identification, feedback and incorporation of new processes and practice\n\nSupport the business to ensure compliance with legislation and a reduction in the cost of accidents and ill health.\n\nProvide authoritative and independent advice.\n\nAttend and contribute to local and business H&S meetings, providing input and outputs where necessary.\n\nResearch topics and provide sources of information from relevant and credible means to the business\n\nLiaise with internal and external legal representatives relating to personal injury claims.\n\nUndertake project work where necessary to support the improvement of the H&S management system\n\nComplete gap analysis in strategy and processes to ensure best in class H&S management.\n\nPERSON SPECIFICATION:\n\nFailure to adhere to the general requirements of H&S legislation can lead to fines, prosecution, low morale with employees and damage to business reputation. It is essential that our H&S Advisors understand essential and relevant legislation, guidance and associated Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs), which may impact the business relating to this role.
