Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality 1:1 support for a pupil with specific learning, communication, or behavioural needs
Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and strategies set by the SEND team
Adapt learning tasks and resources to ensure accessibility and engagement
Support the pupil with emotional regulation, social skills, and confidence-building
Use positive behaviour support approaches to maintain a calm, safe learning environment
Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider staff
Monitor and record progress, feeding back observations to teachers and professionals
Support the pupil during classroom activities, small groups, transitions, and unstructured times
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience working with children with SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, or communication needs
Is patient, nurturing, and able to build positive, trusting relationships
Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
Can adapt swiftly to the needs of the pupil and respond with sensitivity
Remains calm under pressure and follows safeguarding procedures consistently
Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (desirable but not essential for the right experience)
