The Opportunity:
Themis Recruit are seeking an experienced Senior/Managing Associate to join our highly regarded Real Estate practice in London. You will be involved in a broad range of transactional real estate work, including investment, development, acquisitions, disposals, real estate finance, and restructuring. This role offers the chance to work on high-value, complex transactions for some of the biggest names in the industry, including British Land, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and TFL.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle a broad range of real estate transactions, including investment, development, acquisitions, and disposals.
* Manage client relationships, acting as a direct point of contact, anticipating client needs, and providing timely updates.
* Assist with managing and delegating work to junior colleagues, providing feedback, and supporting their development.
* Contribute to business development activities, raise the firm’s profile by attending industry events, and support marketing initiatives.
* Ensure effective billing and progress tracking, working in line with firm policies and risk requirements.
* Uphold the firm’s values, contribute to diversity and inclusion activities, and participate in internal training and legal precedents development.
Requirements
* Excellent academic background.
* Significant post-qualification experience in transactional real estate (ideally Senior/Managing Associate level).
* Extensive experience in real estate development, investment, acquisitions, and disposals.
* Admitted to practice in England & Wales or equivalent transactional experience within the jurisdiction.
* Strong legal skills, including drafting, negotiation, and project management.
* Foundation-level people management and business development skills.
* Good understanding of law firm profitability and financial efficiency, with the ability to manage costs and budgets.
