Job Purpose
Reporting to an Operations Manager, the primary responsibility of the role is to lead and deliver O&M services to offshore renewable energy assets. Assets include offshore meteorological masts, wind turbines, offshore transmission assets including onshore and offshore substations, foundations and subsea cables. The Project Manager role is to ensure that these services are delivered safely, on time, within the budget and in accordance with contractual requirements, standards and specifications. Organisational ContextYou will be the focal point for project delivery and responsible for the planning and delivery of the day-to-day activities required to provide the agreed services. This is a client facing role and requires regular communication with RES’ clients, internal technicians and external contractors. You will work closely with the Offshore and UK&I O&M teams as well as other RES departments including HV Services, HSQE, Technical and Engineering. Key Accountabilities
1. Delivery of operation and maintenance services, including but not limited to:
2. Planning the onshore and offshore scheduled work.
3. Preparing budgets and contract variations, tracking budgets and invoicing.
4. Ensuring all contracted and regulatory requirements are completed, such a statutoryinspections as required by the contract.
5. Producing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
6. Procurement of 3rd party services, tools and equipment.
7. Project management (and occasional delivery) of work including:
8. Inspection and planned maintenance of onshore and offshore assets.
9. Reactive maintenance of electrical and mechanical elements.
10. Inspecting and auditing on site activities.
11. Creation of reports to issue to client.
12. Competency and skills to:
13. Project manage planned and reactive offshore activities
14. Lead an onshore/offshore team in the execution of the work
15. Plan maintenance services involving difficult access
16. On-Call: you are expected to participate in a call out rota to provide emergency response outside of normal working hours. Depending on the type of faults, the on-call duty may require onshore and/or offshore site visits at short notice
17. The role also includes the following department responsibilities:
18. Support the production and review of procedures, processes and technical literature
19. Draft and/or provide inputs into proposals and related cost books
20. Assist with the management & control of both client owned and Offshore department tools, equipment and PPE
Knowledge
21. Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
22. Experience with data logging and communication systems
23. LV & mechanical fault-finding and analysis
24. Knowledge of wind turbines and related equipment
25. Knowledge of balance of plant applicable to offshore wind farms
26. Knowledge of wind turbines and related equipment
27. Knowledge of Offshore Transmission assets (OFTO)
28. Knowledge of HV systems
29. Knowledge of HV safety rules
