We are an 'Outstanding' Sixth Form College which offers a wide range of learning opportunities for students of all ages.
We are seeking a dedicated Swimming Coach to join our team of sports coaches to work with our swimming academy and also oversee recreational swimming for staff and students.
This is a part time, term time only role for 1.5 hours a week.
Sessions run on Tuesdays from 7.30am am. the successful candidate will need to be on site from 7.15 am am to prepare for and finish the session.
Flexibility to attend swimming competitions would be an advantage but not essential.
There may be the opportunity to combine this role with a TA role for the right candidate to offer more hours.
Duties
* Plan and coach swimming sessions to individuals or groups
* Instruct swimmers on swimming techniques and strokes
* Develop training programmes tailored to the needs and skill levels of participants
* Provide constructive feedback to swimmers to help improve their performance
* Ensure a safe swimming environment at all times
* Experience and Qualifications
Candidates need to hold an ASA swimming coaching qualification and a pool lifeguard qualification
* Previous experience in swimming coaching is desirable
* Ability to educate and motivate swimmers of various ages and skill levels
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with swimmers and other staff members
