About the role
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the store's daily operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
As customer satisfaction is our priority, you will seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
You will help ensure the store is a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For:
* Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural service.
* Encouraging customer feedback through surveys.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Practicing safety protocols learned during training.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately for correct payment.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Following the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions at self-checkouts.
* Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
* Occasionally managing shifts in absence of supervisors.
* Following all safety and legal training.
If this store has a Post Office Local, duties include managing daily operations of the Post Office, which requires passing a background check. Failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
