Job Title: Registered Children's ManagerLocation: CoventrySalary: £65,000 per annumAbout the Role:Claire at Amber Mace is recruiting an experienced and dynamic Registered Children's Manager to lead a newly established service in the Coventry area. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with proven experience in managing children's services, particularly within an Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in commissioning a new service, overseeing the setup, and managing day-to-day operations to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance.Key Responsibilities:• Take the lead in establishing and managing a new children's service, ensuring all systems, policies, and procedures are in place for optimal functioning.• Ensure the service is compliant with regulatory requirements, including Ofsted standards, and maintain excellent relationships with commissioners and other stakeholders.• Oversee all aspects of the service, including staffing, recruitment, and training, ensuring the highest level of care and support for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.• Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child, ensuring a person-centred approach is always maintained.• Lead a team of dedicated professionals, providing guidance, supervision, and support, with a focus on performance management and staff development.• Monitor the wellbeing and progress of the children in care, ensuring their safety, health, and emotional needs are met at all times.• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with external agencies, including local authorities, schools, and healthcare providers, to ensure the best outcomes for the children.• Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial stability and cost-efficient delivery of services without compromising quality.• Handle any complaints, incidents, or safeguarding concerns in a timely and appropriate manner, ensuring compliance with all safeguarding protocols and best practices.Requirements:• Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an EBD or children's residential care setting.
